Education
Timothy “Tim” Hyland graduated Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville (UT) in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting.
Professional Experience
Tim began his career in the financial services profession in 2001. In 2002, he joined Professional Economic Growth Group in Edison where he earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation* from Fairleigh Dickinson University's Financial Planning Program.
In response to the 2007 financial crisis, Tim founded Stone Hill Financial LLC to help individuals and small business owners reorganize their long-term financial goals in a more cost effective and tax efficient way. In addition, Tim is an Investment Advisor Representative and Registered Representative of his broker-dealer, Hornor, Townsend & Kent, LLC.
In 2024, Tim attained his Sports & Entertainment Accredited Wealth Management Advisor™ designation and opened Stone Hill's Sports and Entertainment Division working with professional athletes and coaches.
Prior to his career in financial services, Tim was a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in New York City. In May 1999, Tim passed the CPA exam. While at PwC, Tim performed audits on clients within various industries, including insurance companies, banks, and investment advisors. Some of his clients included New York Life, State Farm, MacKay Shields Financial Corporation, AXA-Equitable, Prudential, and Barclay's Capital.

Tim has two amazing children and lives in Hunterdon County, NJ. He enjoys celebrating his Irish heritage, country music and the outdoors.
