Timothy Hyland Selected as a 2012 FIVE STAR Wealth Manager By New Jersey Monthly Magazine

Annandale, NJ (January, 2012) – Timothy M. Hyland, CFP®, CPA and President of Stone Hill Financial LLC, was selected as a 2012 FIVE STAR Wealth Manager?by New Jersey Monthly magazine for the second consecutive year. Less than 1 percent of wealth managers in the New Jersey area were named to the list. New Jersey Monthly will highlight their 2012 FIVE STAR Wealth Manager?list in its February 2012 issue.

The highly respected magazine formed a partnership with Crescendo Business Services to find out which wealth managers scored the highest in overall satisfaction. Crescendo administered a survey, by mail and phone, to approximately 1 in 4 high-net-worth households (over 235,000 households) and all identified FINRA registered representatives within the New Jersey area.

The list contains the wealth managers in a given market who score highest in overall satisfaction, based on an objective market research methodology that takes into account client evaluations based on nine criteria: customer service, integrity, knowledge/expertise, communication, value for fee charged, meeting of financial objectives, post-sale service, quality of recommendations and overall satisfaction. The 2012 FIVE STAR Wealth Managers do not pay a fee to be included in the research or the final list of FIVE STAR Wealth Managers.

Timothy uses a holistic approach when advising his clients, paying particular attention to flexibility and tax efficiencies in what he sees as a higher tax environment in the future. “When you look at the amount of growing debt our country has and the increasing demands to Social Security and Medicare due to our aging population, clients would be wise to carefully evaluate all types of taxation (income, capital gains, estate, etc) and how it may impact your financial and estate plans.”

Timothy also works with small businesses helping them design, create and manage employee benefit plans. He is a strong proponent for the newer consumer driven healthcare plans now available with most carriers. “With the passing of last year’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, employers are struggling to understand all the new changes and requirements demanded of them. I help to explain these changes as well as show them cost effective plans that provide their employees with more choices in how to cope with their ever increasing out-of-pocket expenses.”

When he is not running Stone Hill Financial, Timothy is also president of a non-profit group called Hunterdon First (www.hunterdonfirst.org) whose mission is to support locally owned and operated independent businesses in Hunterdon county.
